I started at Pier 121 in June 2005 and became the Marina General Manager in September of that year. I had little marina management experience when I began, but I have been a boater here since 1988. I now have over 8 years of on the job training, and am currently pursuing becoming a Certified Marina Manager. Prior to my coming to Pier 121, I was a CPA for Coopers and Lybrand for 5 years. Deciding accounting wasn’t for me, I owned a vending machine and coffee service company for 26 years. That job gave me lots of customer service experience, which serves me and our members well. When I sold my company, I was invited to work at Pier 121 and actually started the next day.

Outside marina life, I have been married to my lovely wife Suzanne for 37 years. We have two grown children. Our daughter Kelly teaches school in Colorado, and our son Jordan is pursuing his dream to be an architect. He is currently enrolled in the Graduate School of Architecture at UT Austin. I enjoy motorcycle riding, hiking, waterskiing, scuba diving, and World War II aircraft.

Being the manager of Pier 121 is a great job. We have a dedicated, experienced staff committed to making Pier 121 an exceptional recreational experience with a vision for the future. Our goal is to ensure you get the most from your boating experience. All of my friends are jealous! I get to go to the lake everyday for work!
